ROCHDALE MP Simon Danczuk adorned his constituency office with the red rose flag to celebrate Lancashire Day.
Held every year on November 27, Lancashire Day marks the anniversary of the date in 1295 when the county first sent MPs to Westminster.
The event is now observed by residents of cities, towns and villages within the historic boundaries of the county which once stretched from north Cheshire to Coniston in the Lake District.
Mr Danczuk said: “I am a proud Lancastrian and especially proud of the part Rochdale has played in the history of our great county.
“It’s important to have days like this to remember our traditional roots and to celebrate everything that makes Lancashire the best county in England by far.”
