MP asks for your nominations for best South Asian restaurant in Britain

Rochdale’s MP, Simon Danczuk, is asking for your votes again – this time on Rochdale’s best South Asian restaurant.

He wants to nominate a local restaurant for an annual competition, which highlights the best Asian cooking in Britain. Run by Labour MP Keith Vaz, the competition is now in its fifth year and raises money for a different charity each year. This year’s charity is World Vision.

“There is a lot of competition among MPs to get their Indian restaurant named as the UK’s best,” said Mr Danczuk. “I know we’ve got some cracking ones in Rochdale that can compete with any in the country. So I hope readers will email me at simon.danczuk.mp@parliament.uk before July 30with their recommendation.”

The Labour MP, Keith Vaz, added: “After the overwhelming success of last year’s competition we are looking forward to another chance to sample some of the best offerings of Indian food in Britain. At the same time we also hope to encourage some healthy competition amongst MPs from all parties, all while raising money for a worthy charity.”
